Camp table with seats (Structure 1)
- Construct a square pyramid by tying 4 3m spars using gyn lash.
- Open it up and tie 1 3m spar to two sides of the pyramid (They must be opposite to each other).
- Two 1 metre spars are lashed between the pyramid to act as supports for the table top.
- The last four 3 metre spars are lashed alongside the spars joining the pyramid, to form the bench seats (Form the bench by tying 2 3m spars to each other using shear lash).
- 16 poles are used for the table top and tied in place with manila hem using gyn lash.
- Diagonal lash
- Gyn lash
- Shear Lash
Signal Tower + Swing (Structure 2)
- Start by making the sides using the 6 metre spars and 3 metre spars to form a rectangle. (6m x 3m)
- After finishing both sides, lay them on their sides and join it together by using 1 metre spars.
- The platform is made using poles tie together using gyn lash.
- Two 3metre spars are tie on the rectangle right below the platform to help support it.
- Use square lash to tie the 1 metre spars to the structure to create a ladder.
- Use two 1 metre spars to create a seat for the swing.
- Lastly, join it to the signal tower by using the scaffold hitch method shown above.
- If it is not stable enough, we may have to peg it or lean it against the wall.
